DK Security is blessed with incredible officers in our vast family of over 2,300 employees. The DK Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight some of these talented individuals. They are our shining examples of hospitality security and the reason DK Security continues to grow and thrive. For our very first employee spotlight, we would like to introduce you to Lieutenant Kristin Stimpson. 

Last summer, DK Security had the opportunity to meet with Shamus Smith and Katie Whittaker from the League of Enchantment. This non-profit organization is a volunteer cosplay group that operates across the state of Michigan. Members dress up in movie-quality superhero costumes and visit children in hospitals and participate in community events. 

DK Security was chosen by Corp! Magazine as a Michigan Economic Bright Spot winner. We were one of only two Grand Rapids based companies out of the 12 in the “Large Business” category. The Economic Bright Spot Award was given to companies that have experienced success in the last year, which includes increasing revenue, launching a new service or product, expanding locations, or hiring Michigan talent.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Mr. Robert “Bob” DuHadway, Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus at DK Security, passed away on the evening of March 31, 2019, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
